What Do We Do?
Community foundations are grant making charities dedicated to improving the lives of people in a defined local geographic area. They bring together the financial resources of individuals, families, and businesses to support nonprofits in their communities.
At Three Rivers Community Foundation, our primary purposes are:
To stimulate the creation of endowed funds to support nonprofits in our community now, and in the future;
To address community needs and opportunites through grant making and organizational leadership.
Three Rivers Community Foundation was very pleased to have received a Social Determinants of Health Grant from the Greater Columbia Accountable Community of Health.
The application process has been completed and six local nonprofits received a total of $391,000 to address those determinants that are most impactful to people's health. Those nonprofits are:
Catholic Charities, Communities in Schools, Community Action Connections, Grace Clinic, The Chaplaincy, and Tri-Cities Residential Services.
